The Yamuna Expressway (Hindi: यमुना एक्सप्रेसवे), formerly the Taj Expressway project was conceived with the idea of reducing the travel time between New Delhi and Agra.It will be a 6-lane (extendable to 8 lanes) access-controlled Expressway and will connect Delhi with Agra via Mathura.

xpressway is to be developed in three phases:-
* Phase I: Expressway Stretch between Greater Noida & Taj International Airport.
* Phase-II: Expressway Stretch between Taj International Airport and an intermediate destination between Taj International Airport & Agra.
* Phase III: Expressway Stretch between intermediate destination & Agra.
Project is slated to be completed by 2010 and is being executed by Jaypee group.
